The Trojan War at the British Museum

“Going on an Odyssey” and “What is Your Achilles’s Heel?” are still phrases we all know. Achilles, Odysseus, Hector and Helen are all well-known characters from the mythical Bronze Age. The stories around the Trojan War cover age old themes of love, betrayal, deceit, vengeance with even some compassion at times. This talk uses objects from the British Museum to outline the background to the war, the events during the war and the aftermath of the war. Join Dr William Sterling to find out more.
